About the Role:

You will focus on underground ventilation planning and monitoring, engineering project delivery and operational mine planning support.  This is a hands-on technical role that will contribute directly to the safe and efficient development of Sunday Creek into a producing underground mine.

Job Responsibilities:

What You'll Drive
๐Ÿ”ธ Underground ventilation design, monitoring and optimisation
๐Ÿ”ธ Compliance with Victorian OHS Regulations 2017 (Part 5.3)
๐Ÿ”ธ Mine design, scheduling and technical support activities
๐Ÿ”ธ Drill and blast design, execution support and performance monitoring
๐Ÿ”ธ Delivery of engineering and capital projects from scoping through to commissioning
๐Ÿ”ธ Budgeting support, forecasting and operational reconciliation
๐Ÿ”ธ Collaboration with geology, geotechnical, survey, environmental and operations teams
๐Ÿ”ธ Clear communication of technical information, risks and opportunities
๐Ÿ”ธ Participation in site inspections, hazard identification and safety initiatives
๐Ÿ”ธ Continuous improvement initiatives across technical and operational functions
 
Who You Are

You're a motivated mining professional who enjoys solving technical problems and contributing to a growing operation.  You can balance attention to detail with practical outcomes, work effectively with operational teams and take ownership of the work that helps keep people safe while delivering results.
 
Your Background
โœ” Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline
โœ” Underground hard rock mining experience
โœ” Ventilation design and monitoring experience highly regarded
โœ” Proficiency in Deswik and Ventsim/Pumpsim Design, or willingness to develop these skills
โœ” Sound understanding of drill and blast principles
โœ” Exposure to engineering project delivery or capital works (desirable)
โœ” Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently in both office and underground environments
โœ” Strong communication and problem-solving capabilities
