Job Description:

Core shed assistant 8/6 Roster job description/duties:

Report to the Core Shed Manager

Your primary duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) working alone or with team members to:

• Complete all tasks associated with diamond drilling core processing workflow (to include metre marking, orientation, SG, RQD, magsus, core photography, core cutting, sampling) and other core yard peripheral duties as required.

• Collection and transport of drill core

• Receiving and offloading of drill core and samples

• Prepare drill core for Geologists

• Cleaning and aligning drill core

• Drill core and tray mark up

• Core photography and data capturing

• Entering sample data into the database and creating sample cut sheets

• Organising sample dispatch and transport of the samples offsite and liaising with trucking companies

• Implement QA/QC practices

• Implementing and helping to develop safe systems of work for core shed activities and field programmes

• Maintaining company vehicles and equipment

• Support the geologists and the field supervisor in all field activities, including supervising site preparation and drilling operations, sampling and rehabilitation programs, and supporting geophysical, geological, environmental and heritage surveys

• Participate by sharing and implementing ideas with the team to improve operation efficiency

• Any other field and exploration support activities as directed

• Maintain open communication with management and other departments

• Perform all work activities with the highest regard to industry safety standards

• Environmental work and testing

• Helping with Visitor's field trips

Your regular working Roster will be (8) eight days on and (6) six days off (8:6) in a cycle. Hours: You are expected to work ten hours each day, for eight consecutive days, for a total of eighty hours each fortnight. Schedule: Each work cycle will span 14 days, starting on Tuesday and ending on Monday. Each cycle will commence with eight working days and conclude with six non-working days.

You will be required to work the public holidays on your roster. No extra compensation will be paid as this rate has already been incorporated into the salary.

You will have 5 weeks of annual leave (200 hours)
