Southern Cross Gold Consolidated (SXGC) is progressing one of Australia’s most exciting gold and antimony discoveries at the Sunday Creek Project in Victoria. As our activities expand, we’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Field Technician to support surface operations and exploration programs across site.

This is a practical, outdoor role where your work directly contributes to safe, efficient operations — from drill pad preparation through to site logistics and maintenance.

About the Role

Reporting to the Surface Site Supervisor, the Field Technician provides hands-on support across surface operations, exploration activities and site logistics.

This role supports drill pad preparation and rehabilitation, materials handling, general field works and day-to-day operational tasks required to keep the site running effectively.

The position is primarily field-based and suited to someone comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions and performing manual tasks safely.

What You’ll Drive

🔸Support drill pad set-up, access works and rehabilitation activities

🔸Undertake general field work across the Sunday Creek site

🔸Load, unload and transport materials, equipment and supplies

🔸Operate forklifts and site vehicles in accordance with licences and procedures

🔸Assist with site preparation, maintenance and housekeeping activities

🔸Support exploration, environmental and operational programs as required

🔸Maintain strong safety practices and site discipline

Your Background

✔ Current Driver’s Licence (manual required)

✔ Current Forklift Licence

✔ Current Truck Driver’s Licence (heavy rigid required)

✔ Ability to work safely in a physically demanding outdoor environment

Highly regarded:

✔ Experience in mining, exploration, construction or field-based roles

✔ Experience supporting drill pad preparation or site works

✔ Mechanical aptitude or experience with tools and equipment
