NAIDOC week is a time to honour the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across the continent. We’re proud to have established an ongoing relationship with Traditional Owners, the Taungurung Land and Waters Council (TLaWC), whose culture and land custodianship plays an important role in guiding our exploration activities.
Adele, Ethan and Illaria from SXGC are pictured here with Uncle Shane at Mitchell Shire Council’s NAIDOC event at Goranwarrabul House, and joined other locals in acknowledging the oldest continuing cultures on earth. This year’s theme, “Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud” is a powerful call to amplify First Nations’ voices, stories, and strength.
